.07042006 my frustration tolerance has reached it's limit. more than 40 spam messages per day ranging from penis-enlargement mails to full-out porn is too much for even me to handle. this means that from this moment on I have a spiffy new spamfilter installed.

bastian: 1 / spammers: 0

To help any urban legends about this out of the world: the only reason that I am receiving spam is because spambots have lifted my mailaddy's from several websites that i'm hosting. despite my best efforts some robots have managed to harvest my mailadres and once it started there was no stopping it. ofcourse, 1 or 2 spammessages is nothing to worry about. but it seems i've become so rigorous in deleting spam that more often than not i've deleted mails from people that actually had something to say to me. so if i've not responded to you in the past, now you know why!

.06192006 summer's started. well, not officially, but the warmth is coming closer and closer. which is a good thing. actually; it's a fantastic thing; eventhough it keeps me away from the pc more than I'ld sometimes like. in other news; hexen:edge of chaos are looking for a coder. if you know of anybody that knows how to code, drop me a line via the contact page!

.05312006 it's my current playlist for today, i turned it on at 8:30 in the morning when i start my work and will have it on repeat till 17:30 when i'm done with working. yes, i work many hours on a regular day. :(

1. Peace Orchestra - The Man, Pt. 1 (4:45)
2. Peace Orchestra - Meister Petz (6:16)
3. Peace Orchestra - Double Drums (9:23)
4. Peace Orchestra - Domination (8:35)
5. Peace Orchestra - Marakesh (6:55)
6. Peace Orchestra - Henry (6:05)
7. Peace Orchestra - Who Am I (5:59)
8. Peace Orchestra - Shining (5:01)
9. Peace Orchestra - The Man, Pt. 2 (4:22)

in other news, i experienced sort of an emotional rollercoaster while recording the new demo for our band. at first i was more than dissapointed at the way we had played. things didn't sound together, it wasn't tight enough. but mastering really made a difference and pulled the sound together. it was a true learning experience (yet again, as any studio session is) in that we certainly need to work more on our sound as a band. all in all the demo came together quite nicely. i'll upload an mp3 for you guys tonight so you can hear how i use my 5 string bassman collection. *grin*

.05222006 i love my girlfriend, so i've allowed myself to be dragged in front of the television again to witness the Eurovision Song Contest final.

ever since i've been noticing a decline in bloodpressure, heartrate and mentality. could it be infecting me? naaahhh.. i quickly reset the playing field by listening to tools new album called vicarious.

i still dislike eurovision but atleast the nightmares have subsided. for the record, Bosnia easily had the best song. russia had a nice tune, but the leadsinger definately needs to learn to stay away from amfetamine.

in other news, it seems i had forgotten to link to my complete gallery!
so i've updated the gallery page with the link to my complete online gallery.

.05192006 yes, sometimes i'm behind on all things interesting and intelligent in the world. i live in my own space and miss things that might really interest me and that i would like.

one of those things that you all heard of years before me and that i've been missing is the genius comic called <ctrl> <alt> <del> about a gamer, his best friend, his x-box and his insanity. after reading the first page i was sold and i read the entire comic archive till the end. if you've never heard of it then you should too.

GOD!... SAVE ME! I WATCHED EUROVISION LAST NIGHT!

in other news. i've recently found my cd's of Unreal Tourney 2003 and i've found renewed interest in going up against bots set on the easiest skill level. it makes me feel.... good.

anyways, a heads up for you guys: I'm searching for some golden oldie mutators for unreal 2003: the triple barrel rotating rocketlauncher, infinite jump mutator (one that actually works and I can download) and the 'rune' mutator pack where you have runes in the game which constitute for several powerups. I've been searching the web but find myself walking into dead links all the time... What's up with filefront, anyway?

If you happen to come across these mutators and links that actually work, could give me a head's up?

.05182006 the good folks over at cgnetworks did an interview with Justin Lassen, who is doing the music for the Total Conversion Hexen:Edge of Chaos. Make sure to check it out and read up on what's happening with Justin!

.05132006 an interview with Tim Sweeney.

ET:QW.05132006 i've been steadily following the ET:QW media releases and am pretty impressed by the orgy of visual delight.

but multiplayer really isn't my thing. i used to like it but stuck with Q3.

i've played the other MP games and liked them, but not so much as to log back in every day to play a game.

SP really 'does' it for me, checking out the maps, how they were structured and getting sucked into an emmersive gameworld has always attracted me to FPS gaming ever since Doom3 game out.

.05122006 read about the whole Hirsi Ali affaire and decide for yourself.
